What are some interesting places to see in-route to Yellowstone National Park from Chicago? - yellowstone national park camping

I'm going to Yellowstone National Park in Chicago and I was wondering which cities, towns and sites worth seeing on the street.
I am 88 from Davenport, Iowa City and Des Moines, until it Omaha, Nebraska affected. Take the 29th, the 90th, cutting Sioux City and Sioux Falls. I like to go the camp in the badlands, and possibly at Mount Rushmore. Also, I do not think that is worth seeing. Suggestions?
